Shepherds for Sale

We have been sounding the alarm for several years about the creep of progressive ideology coming into evangelical institutions since the beginning of the ministry. We have been especially vocal about issues related to indiscriminate hiring. Our friend, Megan Basham, has noticed many of the same problems but investigated things through a different means: following the money. Her reporting is raising important questions about historically trusted institutions. This is an episode you do NOT want to miss!

Megan Basham is a devoted follower of Christ, a wife and mother. Megan’s career as a journalist spans nearly 20 years; she is a culture reporter for the Daily Wire and the author of Beside Every Successful Man: A Woman’s Guide to Having It All. Megan is a frequent contributor to Morning Wire, one of the top 10 news podcasts in the United States. She has also written for the Wall Street Journal, the Telegraph, First Things, National Review, and World Magazine, where she worked as a film and television editor.

Megan has been taking a lot of heat since the release of her brand new book, Shepherds for Sale, which was the subject of tonight’s show: https://www.amazon.com/Shepherds-Sale-Evangelical-Leaders-Leftist/dp/0063413442/ref=monarch_sidesheet_image

For the regular followers of our content, you will not be surprised by many of the things Megan mentions in her book. She has brought together, in a cohesive book form, many of the issues we have raised. This being said, you must do your due diligence and read the book! Beware of the reviews, posts on X, and “concern trolls.” Instead, read the book for yourself, check the footnotes, and make up your own mind!
